Farmer Laney rolled the wheelbarrow to the pig pen.
"Hey, my pretty friends," Laney said. "I have a special treat!"
She tossed the carved pumpkins into the pen. Peggy, the youngest pig, rushed towards it then stopped suddenly. She squealed and backed away.
“Why are you running away?” Laney asked. She looked at the pumpkin and saw the carved spider. “Not a fan of Charlotte’s Web?”
Peggy shivered in the corner. Laney smooshed the spider pumpkin with her boot. “Better?”
The pig hurried towards the food, then sloppily devoured it.
Laney laughed then said, “All’s well that ends well, eh?”
